MIAMI, FL – The American Airlines Arena, South Florida’s ultimate sports and entertainment showplace and home of the 2006 NBA Champion Miami HEAT, announced today that it is nearing the completion of the first stage of a multi-million dollar two-phase renovation project on its upscale suite level. Premium guests and suite level clients will enjoy a myriad of new features and amenities just in time to celebrate the 20th anniversary season of the Miami HEAT.
The redesign, managed by Golden Sands General Contractors, is intended to create a more comfortable and upscale hospitality environment for the Arena’s most exclusive patrons. Glossy Silestone quartz countertops, upgraded millwork and plush carpeting prominently feature the HEAT team colors of red and black. A sleeker lighting scheme and stylish new furniture will enhance each of the 20 center court and seven end court suites, providing them with a contemporary look and layout. Guests will enjoy the familiar comforts of home, including a PlayStation 3 game console with wireless controllers that can be used to surf the Internet on new 42” and 52” Toshiba plasma televisions, iPod dock, DVD player, a full-size Sub Zero refrigerator, and a sunken induction cooking unit. Additionally, each suite will be manned with a permanent “suite butler” to personalize and improve the food and beverage service. Levy Restaurants will serve up an inspired menu featuring their signature “Food Cocktails”;which range from Rock Shrimp Mojitos to Peppercorn Crusted;Beef Tenderloin and Blue Cheese Macaroni Martini. The sole focus of the staff and culinary team will be premium treatment, attention and guidance resulting in a completely reinvented “uberlux” suite experience. Phase 2 of the project, scheduled for the summer of 2008, will cover the suite level’s 54 Loge boxes and common areas.
“The AmericanAirlines Arena has been open for almost eight years, has hosted more than 1,400 events and we thought it was time to give the suite level a facelift,” said President of The HEAT Group’s Business Operations, Eric Woolworth. “Our premium guests have made a significant and lengthy investment and we wanted to reciprocate by upgrading not only their suites, but their overall experience.”
For the first time in several years, a very limited amount of premium inventory is available. Premium inventory is leased on five-, seven- and ten-year agreements.

In addition, the Arena has hosted several special events utilizing the East Plaza with its stunning view of Biscayne Bay and the ultra-exclusive Dewar’s 12 Clubhouse.
