These are the guiding principles that Golden Sands subscribes to across the board and in all of our professional dealings. We adhere to these standards strictly and require that all staff, vendors, sub-contractors and associates do the same. There are no compromises, ever.

Our initial commitment is to client values and the application of ethical behavior in everything we do. We also protect the interests of our clients by implementing solutions based on open standards technology.

Embedded in our company's culture, our practices have become the norm but we have systems and policies in place to guard us from any deviation. To do so, our entire staff is regularly audited and there is a zero-tolerance policy for misuse of company property, client information, or outside dealings with stakeholders.

Our staff is OSHA trained and certified. This commitment is an integral element of our core values as we hold all projects to the highest safety standards in the industry and ensure that neither our clients nor our company are exposed to liabilities.

Golden Sands is dedicated to protecting the environment by integrating environmentally responsible practices and principles throughout the company – both in the offices and in the field. We understand that these practices are good for the environment, our business, our staff and every community that we work and build in.

We employ LEED Accredited Professionals, have developed LEED Certified properties, and are proud members of the U.S. Green Building Council ®.

An example of Golden Sands’ sustainable developments are our regional offices, located in green buildings that are LEED Registered and consume 40% less water than a regular building and are designed to use at least 35% less energy than an ordinary building of the same size.

Golden Sands is a Carbon Neutral Company. Utilizing a reporting system called the Carbon Disclosure Project, the industry specialists at Above Green performed a detailed study to access our carbon footprint and lead us through the steps of offsetting our emissions through renewable energy projects.

Additionally, our offices achieve superior indoor air quality through our meticulous use of high quality, low-emitting materials and our fleet of vehicles is comprised of low-emission hybrids, further reducing our carbon footprint.

Our commitment to sustainability has become standard procedure in our own workplace and is encouraged and supported amongst our growing staff. We train our employees to understand and take advantage of environmental, financial and good sense benefits of living green.

Charitable & Community Involvement
We believe in giving back to the community. Both the company and the staff participate in community outreach programs throughout the year. Our executive staff is involved in organizations, including St. Jude, American Heart Association, and Doctors Without Borders.

Additionally, we have established the Golden Sands Charitable Foundation, which funds the 9 Mile Charitable Foundation in Jamaica and is dedicated to providing classrooms and basic education for young children, medical services for the community, and sustainable agriculture.
